The Office of International Programs has announced the expansion of its exchange network to include 30 partner countries, adding new agreements with institutions in South Korea, Brazil, Kenya, and Norway. This expansion increases available exchange spots by 40%, allowing more students to gain international experience during their studies.
The program now offers semester and year-long exchanges, short-term summer programs, and virtual exchange options for students who cannot travel. New scholarship funding of $1.5 million annually ensures that financial barriers do not prevent qualified students from participating. Last year, 680 students participated in exchange programs, and the university aims to increase that number to 1,000 by 2026.
Returning exchange students consistently report enhanced language skills, improved cultural competency, and stronger global professional networks. Alumni surveys show that students who participated in exchange programs earn 15% higher starting salaries on average, reflecting the value employers place on international experience.
