The university proudly announces that it has achieved its carbon neutrality target two years ahead of schedule. Through a comprehensive strategy combining solar panel installations, geothermal heating systems, and a campus-wide composting program, net carbon emissions have been reduced to zero.

Key milestones include the installation of 4,200 solar panels across campus rooftops generating 2.8 megawatts of clean energy, the transition of the entire campus bus fleet to electric vehicles, and the implementation of a smart building management system that reduced energy consumption by 35% in older buildings.

Student involvement has been central to this achievement. The Green Campus Coalition, a student-led organization with over 500 active members, spearheaded waste reduction campaigns and organized tree-planting events that added over 2,000 new trees to the campus grounds. The initiative has been recognized by the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education with a STARS Platinum rating.
